Steve Long - Manager
Member of Recruiting & Consulting Services Association of Australia and New Zealand (MRCSA)

Steve has over twenty years’ experience in recruitment and training, most recently assisting people back into the workplace following injury or illness. Specialist areas include CV and cover letter writing, job search and application processes, and interview skills training.

Steve says “CV’s are the vehicle to get a job interview, and are best when they help employers to make effective decisions by being clear, concise and to the point. Cover letters support a great CV by giving a personal touch to the application, but people often don’t take advantage of that opportunity”.

Having selected and interviewed job candidates numbering into the thousands for recruitment and promotion at all levels, he is still surprised how many people approach the task insufficiently prepared for what can be a life changing opportunity, and has helped many to successfully navigate the process through his own businesses in New Zealand and the UK.

Steve often uses the analogy of sport – “you wouldn’t expect the All Blacks to turn up for a game and win without coaching and practice, so why would you do that?”
