For the past 10 years Paul Fennessy has been producing CVs professionally in his work in the careers industry. He has written, rewritten and given advice to thousands of people about their CVs. He’s used CVs to make decisions about who to interview for his own team, and to recommend candidates to hiring managers. Paul is always looking out for great CVs.
But Paul is often disappointed. The CV he sees are often ok, but very rarely great. And when he looked around at the advice available on the internet about how to write a CV, Paul started to understand why. The people who publish information about how to write CVs on the internet often don’t know what they are talking about or their advice simply isn't relevant for the New Zealand market.
At the time Paul and his team of consultants were producing hundreds of CVs for jobseekers each year. But it clearly wasn’t enough. He identified an urgent need to offer more people truly professional advice and CV writing services in an easy and efficient manner. And the idea was born.
Paul managed the site for over a year, before handing over to Steve Long. Steve brings over 20 years of experience in recruiting and training to the role. He also brings an enthusiasm for helping customers to identify and bring out their unique selling points and to put this across in a professional CV that will get them the interviews they want.
